Cruise - Scenic Scottish Isles with Leo & Rachel

Scenic - Scottish Cruise - Scenic

Wow, we couldn't believe our holiday had finally arrived and we couldn't wait to set sail around the Scottish Isles.

We loved getting dressed up for our evenings. From exquisite meals to first class entertainment we felt like royalty.

One of our favourite nights was getting to listen to the Captain who told us all about his upbringing and how he came to work on this ship. It was fascinating.

We docked at the Isle of Lewis and Harris for our Taste of Lewis experience. We were treated to a cooking demonstration and a six course tasting experience with the chef using the infamous black pudding. A local band surprised with a musical interlude and in true JollyDays style we needed no persuasion to get up and dance. Local crafters had popped along too and we all managed to buy a few souvenirs.

There was some fierce competition in the Shuffleboard tournament, something we all really enjoyed and was a great way to interact with the rest of the holiday makers. They were all very impressed with our skills.

Every night we were treated to some incredible live shows from the entertainment team. They were so professional and like something you would see in the West End.

Don't we all scrub up well! We all agreed we could get used to this cruising lifestyle.

One of the highlights of our trip was being invited to the bridge to meet the captain and his crew. It was a high tech affair with navigation systems, nautical charts and controls everywhere we looked. They crew answered all of our questions and allowed us to take control of the steering wheel!

The views from the top deck were just sensational. We had never seen anything like it before.

There was nothing better than relaxing in the warm, bubbling jacuzzi or practising our swimming in the heated pool.

You would always find us on the dance floor, showing of our groovy moves or participating in one of the many dance classes provided. There was even a silent disco, which we had never done before. It was so much fun and we did laugh as we danced away with our headphones on trying to guess what music we were all listening to.
