Bournemouth & The New Forest
A highlight of the week was the trip to Brownsea Island, reached by ferry from Poole Harbour. We enjoyed beautiful scenery, wildlife including red squirrels, peafowl and shelduck, and spectacular views towards The Needles. The island walk clocked up an impressive 10,600 steps.
With the sun shining we enjoyed a wonderful day at Bournemouth beach, paddling in the sea, writing messages in the sand and enjoying ice creams. This was followed by relaxing time in the pool, sauna and jacuzzi.
At Beaulieu
, everyone explored the National Motor Museum, travelled on the monorail and vintage bus, discovered the historic house and admired everything from classic cars to impressive modern sports cars. Finding cars from the years everyone was born added plenty of fun and nostalgia.
