Center Parcs Leisure Resort (Sherwood) with Duncan, Jamie & Tracey

Center Parcs Leisure Resort

We grabbed our swimming kit and had a splashing good time in the Subtropical Pool. We took a dip in its warm water and relaxed in the jacuzzi spa. Some of us were feeling brave enough to have a ride down the rapids.

It was off to play 9 holes of adventure golf and seeing as we were in Robin Hood country the course was of course medieval themed which was really fun. We had a blast making our way round the course with some holes being fairly easy whilst others were a lot more challenging.

The sun was shining as we made our way to the lake where we had two electric boats waiting for us at the dock. We climbed aboard our boats and were soon off across the lake exploring its tree lined margins and reedy bays. Everyone did a sterling job of steering the boats.

Down at the bowls green we geared up for a few games of lawn bowls.  It took a few turns to get the feel for the game, but we soon got the hang of it. Everyone won a game but the ladies champ, winning two games was Charmian and the men’s champ also winning two games was Tom.

Amred with our rackets and shuttlecocks the boys were ready to compete in a game of badminton doubles. It was a really fun, action packed game with plenty of exciting rallies.

We loved seeing the ducks with their ducklings every morning waiting to be fed!

A relaxing morning was spent in the pottery room to indulge our artistic side and get our creative juices flowing with some pottery painting.  Everyone chose a piece to paint which once glazed and fired in the kiln made an amazing keepsake.

As you can see we were pretty proud of our creations.

At the outdoor activity centre we put our archery skills to the test to see how we might compare with the legendary bowman, Robin Hood. After some instruction and a few practice shots the games commenced and with a little help our group were soon hitting the targets.

It was game on as we had a few games of ten pin bowling. We had some fantastic bowlers in the group with Elizabeth whooping the boys with 108 points! Then we racked up the balls and did our best to pot the all important black.  Well done to everyone for being great sports!

The adrenaline junkies amongst us were brave enough to take on the epic Typhoon ride.
