Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Minehead) with Barbara, Darren & Midi

 Butlins, Fun & Dancing

We absolutely love our holidays at Butlins, especially when we get to meet the friendly RedCoats who always make time to come and chat to us.

3, 2, 1 Go! Great fun was had as we raced each other around the Go-Kart track overtaking each other on the bends! It was a battle for first place on the podium!

Down at the fair we showed off our more mischievous side, bumping and crashing into each other on the Dodgems and then tried our luck on the old fashioned Hook a Duck stall where we were all lucky winners!

We whizzed around on the Waltzer, flew high in the sky and had our arms in the air as we rocked back and forth on the Tug Boat ride.

It was game on as we hit the bowling alley. After a nail biting competition with lots of high scores and plenty of strikes we crowned Jason champion!

An afternoon of comedy capers and frolics were had as we took our seats for the afternoon pantomime of  Goldilocks and the Three Bears performed by the entertainment team. The costumes were fabulous, the jokes were so funny, the songs catchy and the Pantomime Dame had us in fits of laughter. Not to mention us joining in to ‘boo’ the baddie. It was a real feel good afternoon of fun.

Every evening we were treated to some amazing live shows from comedy to magic to musical extravaganzas to up beat, fiery, latin dance routines. You would find us dancing the night away!

We visited one of our favourite café’s called ‘Butterflies’ where, not only did we have a delicious lunch, but we celebrated Victoria’s birthday with an indulgent chocolate cake covered with candles, a birthday card and a birthday present from her JollyDays friends.

It was a beautiful day as we headed along the coast to Lynton and Lynmouth where Exmoor meets the sea. We travelled on the Victorian water-powered cliff railway up to Lynton.

The views were spectacular and after sampling the local pasties (and quite yummy they were too!) we walked through the Exmoor National Park where local goats entertained us by bouncing their way over the rocks.

The Valley of Rocks was magical and the views were simply stunning. We sat for a while to take in the peace and grandeur of our surroundings.
