Stadium Tours- Premiership Football Clubs
Our football crazy group couldn't wait to kick off our stadium tour holiday. Our first stop was at The Theatre Of Dreams, Old Trafford-the home of Manchester United! It was an incredible sight to see as we made our way towards the stadium to start our tour. We met our friendly host, Richard who was very informative about Manchester United and its rich history and everyone came away full of knowledge and lifelong memories.
It was so exciting seeing how vast the stadium was and we could only imagine how noisy it would be when it was full of football fans singing! Walking through the tunnel and onto the pitch gave us goosebumps as we pretended to wave to all our fans.
We even went into the changing rooms to see where the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford get changed before a big game!
Seeing all of the trophies that Man United have won over the years was mesmerising and some of us hoped that they will be adding to their collection this season! We couldn’t leave Old Trafford without visiting the Man United shop, picking up our certificates as well as photos and some souvenirs.
We visited the sunny seaside town of Blackpool and took a stroll along the beach front in the glorious sunshine soaking up the rays and the lively atmosphere that Blackpool has to offer.
Another beautiful morning fit for another special day exploring another stadium. We made our way to Anfield – the home of Liverpool FC! We parked the team bus and had lunch at the famous Georgie Porgy café right outside the stadium.
Next on the agenda was a private tour and we were made to feel like footballing superstars! The view of the pitch from the top level of the main stand at Anfield was amazing and our spines were tingling, and we felt like Mo Salah as we made the famous walk out onto the pitch. We even got the chance to sit in the dugout where the manager and players sit and practice our interview techniques in the press room.
We then visited the Anfield Museum, where we learned all about the history of Liverpool FC, marvelled at the club’s six European cups and saw the epic story of Jurgen Klopp’s Dream Team.
Today was the day we were off to visit the Etihad Stadium – home of Manchester City! We embarked on a tour of the magnificent stadium and watched an entertaining story about Manchester City in the cinema suite,
We visited the home team dressing room and felt what it’s like to be Raheem Sterling or Kevin De Bruyne by walking down the famous glass tunnel before once again, stepping onto the pristinely kept pitch. We felt like Pep Guardiola as we sat in the dugouts looking out onto the pitch.
We then got the chance to interview him in the press room thanks to an interactive experience! We all agreed we would make great sports pundits. We were naturals.
No trip to Blackpool would have been complete without seeing the world-famous Blackpool lights and the fascinating way that they lit up the night sky. It was an amazing to see!
