Butlins, Fun & Dancing
Our holidays at Butlins are always such fun. We were so lucky to meet Billy Bear and the friendly Redcoats. They always make us feel so welcome.
We spent the morning at the funfair for all the thrills and spills. We had a fabulous time riding the elegant carousel, whizzing around on the waltzer and bumping and crashing into each other on the dodgem cars.
Making the most of the glorious sunshine we wandered along the promenade before taking in the wonderful views and enjoyed an ice cream in the warm, autumn sun. We continued our walk all the way to the pier where we popped in and out of some of the gift and souvenir shops. We couldn’t resist the tempting smell of Fish and Chips, so we sat on a wall enjoying the freshly cooked food out of the wrapper.
A highlight of our holiday is the incredible live shows. Each night we were treated to a different show. One of our favourite was a tribute act to the pop sensation ABBA. We sung our hearts out to their iconic hits such as Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia. We absolutely loved all their flamboyant costumes too.
We all loved a fun but competitive game of bowling at Hot Shots. We had some fantastic high scores and quite a few strikes with the overall winner being Mitchell with a very impressive score of 125!
There was always something going on for us to see or do. There were brilliant performances by the Redcoats full of lively dancing and singing which was then followed by the popular tv characters PJMasks who entertained us.
