Butlins, Fun & Dancing
We were so happy to be at one of our favourite holiday destinations. We looked forward to trying all the fun activities and loved meeting Billy the Butlins Bear.
After a lovely lunch we boarded the seaside train which was a fun way for us to travel back to Butlins. We loved waving to all the other people as they passed us by.
We enjoyed all the thrills of the fair, whizzing around on the waltzers and riding gracefully on the carousel. Some of us tried our luck on the Hook a Duck and Knock the Can stall. We were all victorious and won some great prizes.
Every night we looked forward to taking our seats in Centre Stage. We were delighted to be entertained by the fabulous tribute to ABBA. Claire was thrilled to hear her favourite song Dancing Queen play and we all sang our hearts out!
Ten Pin Bowling was on the agenda for today. We picked our lucky bowling balls, and it was game on! We all played a fantastic game with so many strikes and some great scores with our overall winner being Belinda getting an amazing score of 96!
One of our favourite meals was at an American Diner, providing us with a delicious feast of cheesy nachos and towering burgers. We loved choosing the music from the old jukebox.
The new entertainment complex, Studio 34 was fantastic. There was such a lively atmosphere and we were soon clapping, singing and dancing along to the brilliant disco hits. Luckily for us we even managed to chat to the friendly Redcoats and they happily posed for a few photographs too.
Most days we spent our holiday pennies in the arcades, collecting an ever growing pile of tickets to exchange for more prizes!
We were all looking forward to watching the live pantomime. We took our seats adorned with drinks, sweets and popcorn as the performance team retold the famous Disney story The Little Mermaid. It was a fantastic show which of course provided us with lots of laughter as we watched Ariel and her fishy friends get into all sorts of mishaps! The pantomime baddie as always got lots of boos and hisses!
A friendly completion was had down on the pool tables as we had a mini tournament, trying out best to be crowned champion.
