Christmas Pantomime with Midi, Marguerite & Naomi

 Christmas Pantomime

Our festive holiday began in Cambridge, with excitement buzzing from the moment we all met. After settling into our rooms and enjoying a relaxed lunch together, we kicked off the trip with the magical Wicked movie, which told the untold story of the witches of Oz with humour, heart, and spectacular visuals. That evening, we dined at a local Italian restaurant before heading to a lively game of bowling, full of cheers, strikes, and laughter.

We explored Cambridge’s iconic landmarks, including the awe-inspiring King’s College Chapel, where we lit candles in memory of loved ones. Wandering through the city, we enjoyed quirky shops, the bustling Market Square, and the fascinating Museum of Zoology and Fitzwilliam Museum, admiring everything from ancient Egyptian artefacts to modern and contemporary art

The highlight of the day was the Sleeping Beauty pantomime at the Arts Theatre — a joyous performance bursting with colourful costumes, catchy songs, slapstick humour, and audience participation, including the classic “Oh no it isn’t!” moments. The pantomime captured the spirit of Christmas perfectly, leaving everyone laughing and cheering long after the curtain fell.

Other days combined serene walks along Jesus Green, a calming punt ride along the River Cam past historic colleges, and visits to festive Christmas markets, with twinkling lights, seasonal stalls, and delicious treats like hot chocolates and pick ’n’ mix.

An evening at the Wimpole Estate light trail enchanted us with glowing trees, shimmering tunnels, festive projections, and open fires for toasting marshmallows — a truly magical winter wonderland experience.

Our final morning was spent enjoying arcade games and pool.
