Winter Sun in the Canaries - Lanzarote What a glorious day we woke up to and we needed little persuasion to relax and unwind on the sun loungers, topping up our tans. The swimming pool was the perfect place to cool off, practise our swimming and best of all join in with the energetic aqua aerobics. Our hotel was in the perfect position with plenty of shops, bars and local markets for us to explore. Everybody managed to buy gifts and souvenirs and as a reward for our hard work we treated ourselves to a delicious ice cream. It was an early start eager for an excursion that promised to showcase Lanzarote’s natural wonders. Our first stop was El Golfo’s Green Lagoon, a striking site where vibrant green waters shimmered against a backdrop of black volcanic sand and deep blue seas.
