Disneyland Paris with Jackie & Marguerite

 Disneyland Paris

Stepping into Disneyland Park felt like entering a storybook. Main Street sparkled with music and the scent of popcorn, and Sleeping Beauty’s Castle called us forward.  Fantasyland brought thrills of a different kind: Peter Pan’s Flight soared us over London into Neverland, Dumbo the Flying Elephant lifted us high into the skies, and the spinning Mad Hatter’s Teacups spun our laughter into dizzy delight.

And then came a magical moment: meeting Alice herself just before exploring the Curious Labyrinth. She was full of charm, her smile as bright as the storybooks promised, and everyone loved having their turn to pose beside her.

And no Disney day would be complete without It’s a Small World—we drifted through colourful canals, greeted by dolls from every corner of the globe, singing in cheerful harmony.

As evening fell, the Disney Parade transformed the park into a spectacle of colour and music. Floats glided past, each more magical than the last. Rapunzel’s golden hair shimmered in the evening light as she waved to the crowd. Mickey and Minnie danced with endless charm, skeletons from Coco moved with cheeky mischief, and Stitch zoomed around in his little car. The energy was contagious, with music, confetti, and twirling performers bringing smiles to every face.

Finally, Disney Dreams of Magic fireworks lit up the sky over Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. The castle became a canvas of light and projection, Moana’s ocean shimmered in vibrant colours, Tinkerbell flew high leaving trails of pixie dust, and fireworks soared in perfect harmony with the music. It was a breathtaking, magical finale, leaving us all in awe as we slowly made our way back to the hotel.

At Walt Disney Studios, our adventure continued.

We soared on Aladdin’s Flying Carpets where the streets of Agrabah came alive with detail: colourful rooftops, market stalls.

We ticked off more rides as we  bounced with Slinky Dog, and raced through kitchens on Ratatouille, each ride delivering laughter and thrills.

Then came magical character encounters: Bo Peep from Toy Story greeted us with sass and sweetness, sharing warm hugs that everyone adored.

The shows were a highlight of the trip, bringing Disney magic to life in ways that left everyone cheering, singing, and laughing. At Videopolis, Chip and Dale transformed into mischievous DJs, getting the audience clapping and dancing along to classic Disney tunes. Mickey and the Magician dazzled with incredible illusions and appearances by beloved characters like Belle, Rafiki, Olaf, and Elsa, blending storytelling, magic, and music into a truly unforgettable performance. In Together Forever, Pixar friends from Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and Coco embarked on an epic adventure, all accompanied by a live orchestra that made every moment feel grand and cinematic. The Frozen show brought the magic of Arendelle to life, with real snow falling as Elsa sang “Let It Go,” captivating everyone in the audience.

The brave amongst us took on the mighty Tower of Terror. We stepped into the abandoned Hollywood Hotel, the air heavy with dust and mystery. The flickering lights cast long shadows along the cracked walls, and we could hear the distant creak of a broken elevator. Our hearts started to beat with the eerie music and whispering voices make every hair on your arms stand on end. Then the doors closed, and the elevator jerks to life. Up again, down again, the drops come fast and unpredictable, each twist sending our adrenaline soaring. Our legs were shaky, but our smiles were unstoppable! We survived!
