Devon & Cornwall with Jamie and Marguerite

 Devon & Cornwall

We enjoyed exploring Devon’s dramatic coastline and historic villages.

      Visits to Lynton
and Lynmouth included a journey on the famous water-powered cliff railway, scenic coastal views, and learning about the tragic Great Flood of 1952.

We loved the cobbled streets, local village donkeys, the beautiful harbour and of course the traditional cream teas!

The holiday continued with a visit to Paignton Zoo, where the group encountered lions, tigers, lemurs, cheetahs, giraffes, and a wide variety of primates.
A coastal highlight was Port Isaac, famous for Doc Martin and Fisherman’s Friends, where filming locations were spotted, narrow streets explored, and the dramatic Atlantic coastline admired.

One of the most special days was Clifton’s birthday, which was filled with decorations, cards, and surprises.

Another favourite excursion was to Ilfracombe, where the group saw Damien Hirst’s striking sculpture
Verity.

We visited the aquarium, toured the RNLI lifeboat station, and enjoyed a boat trip along the rugged coastline.
