Turkey & Tinsel
The festive atmosphere was set by twinkling Christmas trees and sparkling lights that greeted us at Sinah Warren, alongside the warm smiles of the Warner's Team. For the evening’s festivities, we continued the Christmas theme with glittering, sparkly outfits and, of course, more Christmas jumpers. Dinner was another merry occasion, complete with crackers, party hats, and plenty of terrible cracker jokes.
We got stuck straight into all the great activities on offer starting with a game
of “Killer Skittles,” which proved to be a blast. Nick and Graham made it to
the final, with Graham emerging as the skittle champion, narrowly defeating
Nick. We then took part in a highly competitive “Kurling” competition. The blue
team triumphed, securing 355 points — just 10 ahead of the red team. We also tried our hand at laser pistol shooting, with Leo emerging as the surprise
champion, securing third place overall.
Every night we were wowed by some incredible ats. One of our favourites was 'Movicalls', a tribute to movie hits like Legally Blonde, Pretty Woman, and Dirty
Dancing.
We hit the dance floor once again, soaking in every last moment of our fantastic holiday. As the night drew to a close, we counted down to the New Year partying the night away all looking forward to what the upcoming year will bring. We kept dancing until nearly midnight, joined by fellow guests, before winding down with a New Year’s Eve countdown and a spirited rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
It was soon time for
the much-anticipated pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk. It was a riot of
humour, with plenty of crowd participation. We laughed along with the “He’s
behind you!” and “Oh no, it isn’t!” routines, and the Panto Dame had us in
stitches. We even had a chance to meet the cast for a group photo.
The general knowledge quizzes saw us putting our heads together working hard as a team to score as many points as possible. We loved playing Bingo too, always hoping to win the jackpot.... unfortunately luck wasn't on our side!
