Yorkshire Dales, TV Soap Country with Michaela & Steve

Yorkshire Dales, TV Soap Country

First stop was Heartbeat country and the village of Aidensfield. We visited Scripp’s garage and the Aidensfield arms. We wandered around the village where we did a spot of gift shopping for souvenirs.

We went to Emmerdale's very own Woolpack! We were excited to be where all our favourite soap stars had been before.

We visited the famous market town of Skipton with its castle, canal boats, market and beautiful scenery. We went to a craft fair before heading to the Bolton Abbey Steam Ralway to catch the train to Embsay. We travelled first class in our own carriage at the front of the train and we even got to meet the driver.

We went to visit The Druids Temple situated near Ilton. There we saw incredible large stones of which some stand over 10 feet high. The structure was built by William Danby around 1800. What an incredible place!

We visited a lovely family run farm where we fed and petted all the animals including sheep, lambs, rabbits, chickens, ponies and Flossy the pig. We even had the amazing opportunities to bottle feed the lambs!

In Ripon we visited the Pottery studio and  painted our own pieces of pottery to be fired in the kiln. We were shown what to do by a well known local artist and we all had a great time.

One afternoon we went to Newby Hall and gardens where we had a fantastic time! We visited the dolls house exhibition and afterwards had a ride on the miniature railway that took us on a tour to explore the grounds.
