Alton Towers Theme Park
Arriving at our lovely accommodation in the heart of the Peak District National Park, we unpacked and set out for an afternoon walking around the forest to explore our surroundings.
As usual Alton Towers never disappoints. We had a terrific time on all of the rides from the Enterprise, Marauder's Mayhem, Rita, to Postman Pat's Parcel Post and much more.
The 4D experience was so cool. We laughed so much at the nut-crazed squirrel from the Ice Age movie. All around the park we were entertained by spectacular parades. At the fun fair stalls we had fun playing and trying to win prizes.
We went up on the cable car to reach Abraham Heights. We had an
awesome afternoon up there where we visited the Victorian prospect tower, the
Amphitheatre and the Tinkers mine shaft with stunning views.
At the Matlock Farm Park we spent the morning feeding the animals which included horses, pigs, sheep, lamas and many more. We had so much fun watching the ferret racing which was hilarious. We also had a lovely walk along the river, ice creams in hand.
At the fantastic Chatsworth House and gardens we explored many of the 30 magnificent rooms from the Painted Hall, regal State Rooms, newly restored Sketch Galleries and the beautiful Sculpture Gallery.
