Lake District Activity Centre with Phil & Faye

We had the most fantastic holiday at the Lake District Activity Centre!  Our time away was bursting full of amazing activities, from abseiling and zip wiring to archery and basketball!  Everyone was so encouraging towards each other and really spurred each other on.  All of us made it to the top of the climbing wall with great pride!

We spent a marvellous morning in the Yorkshire Dales Caves - what an adventure it was as we navigated our way around the atmospheric caves!  We loved how our laughter echoed around and bounced off of the cave walls!  On another day we visited the very lovely Haverthwaite Steam Railway, where we saw a few very impressive steam trains.  This was followed by a visit to Ulverston, where we climbed a brilliantly big hill to the Barrus Monument.  Everyone said how breath-taking the views were as we reached the top!

We climbed into our canoes on one bright morning and learnt how to reverse and turn - what fun it was as we splashed around the beautiful lake!  We also did an egg hunt at the ropes course which was very funny when we bumped into each other.  We enjoyed an evening around the campfire toasting marshmallows and singing songs!   Excellent fun was had on our bike ride - I think we could easily enter the Olympics as the JollyDays Cycling Team!

Thank you to everyone for a truly superb holiday where fears were overcome and good friends made!
