What a week full of wonderful weather and fantastic things
to do! Arriving at our lovely
comfortable cottages, we knew we had a lot to look forward to. During our week we drove into Blackpool many
times, visiting Madam Tussauds, the Sea Life Centre, the ‘Tower Dungeons’ and
the famous Tower Ballroom. Of course, we
all got up and had a dance! We even saw a Circus in the tower itself, where we
saw amazing trapeze artists and very funny clowns.
We enjoyed lots of wonderful food sitting outside in the
sunshine and even went for a lovely Indian meal too. Many of us tasted new dishes as some of us
had never tried it before! Being such
beautiful week weather wise, we had a stroll along the main pier and enjoyed
ice-creams. Some of us even went on the
big wheel and dodgems!
One evening, we
enjoyed a game of ten pin bowling at our favourite bowling alley in
Preston. Lots of us got some cracking
strikes! Whatever we were doing, we
always finished our evenings off with some dancing at the bar on our
resort. Glynis even did karaoke one
night – very brave! As always, home time came too early, but we packed our things and headed home, stopping en route for lunch at a very lovely little pub! What a wonderful, adventure filled holiday we had!
