Warners, Fun & Dancing (Gunton Hall) with Nina & Naomi

Warners, Fun & Dancing (Gunton Hall)

Saturday began with birthday celebrations for Susan, complete with gifts and plenty of smiles. Activities came thick and fast—from quizzes (with Penny’s impressive Sir Alex Ferguson knowledge stealing the moment) to line dancing, where The Slosh and California Roll caused plenty of laughter. The afternoon sunshine called for a relaxed walk, before an action-packed afternoon of darts, pool, pampering, and challenges like “Minute to Think It” and laser shooting.

The evening took things up a level. After a special birthday dinner, the Rock Loaf tribute act brought the house down with Bat Out of Hell and Anything for Love. Jake and Wayne’s handshake with the singer was unforgettable, topped off by a heartwarming surprise when Wayne was gifted a Guns N’ Roses waistcoat by a fellow guest.

Quizzes, salsa dancing, and shuffleboard brought out everyone’s competitive side, while the bean game added a bit of friendly rivalry (with Susan taking the top score). Some relaxed with football, others with cocktails—Steven mastering four recipes, with the Long Island Iced Tea the clear favourite.

Monday’s sunshine made it perfect for a trip to Great Yarmouth. From seaside strolls and writing names in the sand to ice creams and arcade fun, it was classic holiday magic. A visit to a local farm brought us up close with cows, calves, sheep, and donkeys, before a truly special stop at Horsey Gap, where around 50 seals (including a fluffy pup) created an unforgettable moment.

Back at Gunton Hall, Rock of Stages rounded off the day with air guitars and big smiles all round.

Today was about making the most of every last moment. Pampering sessions, quizzes (with more great answers), and improved line dancing kept everyone busy. While some relaxed with a film, others enjoyed skittles victories and another seaside visit to Lowestoft. The final evening was the perfect send-off—great food, laughter, dancing, and a crowd-pleasing Macarena. Comedian Micky Zany closed the night with nonstop laughter and brilliant audience interaction.

Wednesday morning brought one last breakfast together, made special by Sarah’s heartfelt speech and a visit from Chef Richard. Not quite ready to leave, we squeezed in a fun round of pitch and putt, full of laughs and light-hearted competition. Then it was time for goodbyes at the garden centre—hugs, smiles, and plans already forming for the next JollyDays adventure.
