London's Royal Palaces

The adventure truly began with a guided tour of the Royal Mews, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the royal carriages. Highlights included the elegant Glass Coach, the jewel-encrusted Diamond Jubilee State Coach, and the magnificent Gold State Coach, each showcasing extraordinary craftsmanship and history.
From there, the group explored Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, Horse Guards Parade, and Parliament Square, taking in some of London’s most iconic sights.
What followed was an extraordinary and unexpected highlight—outside Westminster Abbey, the group witnessed the arrival of members of the Royal Family, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, and more, alongside prominent political figures. It was a rare and thrilling moment that became the standout memory of the entire trip. The day continued with a scenic river cruise along the Thames, offering a new perspective on landmarks such as Shakespeare’s Globe and Tower Bridge, before ending with dinner, live music, and reflection on an incredible day.

The following day brought a deep dive into history at the Tower of London, where a Yeoman Warder guided the group through centuries of stories, culminating in the breathtaking Crown Jewels.
After exploring the White Tower and visiting the famous ravens, the group enjoyed the lively atmosphere of Leicester Square before an evening at Moulin Rouge! The Musical. The show dazzled with its energy, music, costumes, and spectacle, providing a vibrant and unforgettable theatre experience.

Midweek, the group visited Kensington Palace, walking in the footsteps of generations of royals, including Queen Victoria. The State Rooms and an engaging talk from a palace steward brought the setting to life with both history and humour.
A relaxing afternoon followed, with time in Hyde Park and a visit to Madame Tussauds, where the group enjoyed posing with lifelike royal figures and experiencing the immersive Marvel attraction. Dinner at the Hard Rock Café rounded off another fun-filled day.
A visit to Windsor Castle provided another major highlight. From the Changing of the Guard to the grandeur of the State Apartments, every moment reflected the depth of royal heritage. Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, St George’s Hall, and the beautifully detailed rooms captivated the group, while a visit to St George’s Chapel offered a quiet and reflective pause at the resting place of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
