Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Minehead)
We love finding the Butlins memorabilia and having our photos taken. It puts huge smiles on our faces!
Butlins always put on fantastic live shows. The Jersey Boys and ABBA tribute acts were our favourites. We couldn’t sit in
our seats long enough and were always the first up on the dance floor singing our hearts out to
their well know songs.
We drove to Lynton through stunning Exmore
taking in the breath taking views. As we drove across the moors, we saw many horses
and sheep roaming free. Arriving in Lynton, we explored the
beautiful town, browsing some of the gift shops for a few souvenirs. It was
then time to take the water propelled tram to the top of the mountain where the
village of Lynmouth is situated. We had lunch overlooking the sea and the whole
of Lynton taking in the incredible views.
We also treated
ourselves to an ice cream whilst sitting in the sun.
An afternoon on the
challenging but fun crazy golf course was great. We had lots of laughs as we all tried
our hardest to score a hole in one!
It was Jonathan’s birthday and we loved surprising him
with a birthday cake and present.
The Red Coats always give us a warm welcome and are happy to pose for a photograph..... or two! We love chatting to them and dancing the night away at the disco.
All aboard for our steam train
ride from Minehead, through the picturesque
countryside and beautiful beach views to Watchet, a seaside
village with a beautiful harbour. We went for coffee and cake before exploring
the village with its thatched cottages and quaint streets.
Next on the agenda was ten pin bowling. We split
into 2 teams and with some friendly competition and high scores all having a
fantastic afternoon.
The
funfair kept us entertained for hours. We bumped and crashed into each other on the dodgems and tried our luck on the ‘hook a bag’ stall.
