Attractions of Blackpool
The views from the top of the infamous Blackpool Tower were incredible. We could see along along the coastline and right the way down to the pavement as we bravely walked on the glass floor.
We were spooked and scared by the stories that were
told of Vikings, torturous tales and witches. Right at the end we navigated our
way out through the mirror maze. We breathed a sigh of relief as we made it out
alive!
The games room was a hit with all of us and we enjoyed playing some friendly, but competitive games of pool. The local ducks and wallabies also love to see us, especially when we fed them!
Our big day out in Liverpool didn't disappoint. We had great fun at the Beatles interactive experience where we got to play a giant piano with our feet.
The open top bus took us on a tour of this historical city. The tour guide had a great sense of humour.
We spent the afternoon at the World museum, where we saw insects, Egyptian
mummies, models of dinosaurs and held parts of a meteorite in the space
section.
The beautiful Tower Ballroom was everything that we had hoped it would be. We sat and watched as couples elegantly glided around the floor to the sound of the organ. It was soon our go to show off our own dance moves.
Excited to meet some of our favourite celebrities at Madame Tussauds. We had lots of photos taken with the
life like wax models from movie stars, sports stars, TV stars, comedians and
royalty. We took part in the 'I’m a celebrity......get me out of here!' bush
tucker trials and walked across the famous bridge before meeting Ant and Dec.
At the Sealife Centre we got to touch starfish, crabs and anemones. We saw
sharks, seahorses, eels and a huge turtle. We were in awe at how big the turtle
was! As we walked through the glass tunnel the fish and other sea creatures
swam over us. It was like we were swimming in the ocean with them.
The Easter Bunny had come to pay us a visit! We couldn't wait to tuck in to our chocolate treats!
A glorious day spent in the sunshine and we made the most of it. We splashed in the sea, enjoyed an ice cream on the pier and had great fun on the dodgems cars bumping into each other.
We felt like Cinderella and her handsome Prince as we climbed into the most spectacular horse and carriage. As we travelled along the sea front, lots of passers by waved at us.
