French Countryside & Coast with Colin & Netty

     Bonjour France!

We went to visit The World War II museum located in the small coastal village of Ambleteuse - South of Calais.  The museum has a great collection of World War II uniforms, weapons and military equipment from all over the world. We had a great time browsing around!

Nausicaa is the biggest sea life centre in Europe! There is so many incredible species. We saw huge lobsters, drifting sting rays, giant crabs, transparent jellyfish, graceful turtles, amazing sharks and so many more!

We also visited a famous chocolate factory in the heart of the Vallee de la Course. It was absolutely fascinating to watch the process of chocolate making. We even got to taste the chocolates! Yummy!

We then went to visit the Abbey de Valloires where we walked around the beautiful garden!

Thursday is market day in Le Touquet and we had beautiful weather to browse all the stalls, where we looked at all sorts of local produces from tasty cheese to fresh fish.  For the ladies there were many clothes stalls to look at!

The brilliant steam train adventure took us on a superb journey where we travelled around the Somme and saw some astonishing views.
