Our holiday had started and once we had discovered it was a Rock & Roll themed weekend made our spirits soar we could already pictured ourselves dancing the night away in true JollyDays style.

 The day unfolded in cheerful bursts of activity: browsing handmade treasures at the craft fayre, friendly competitions in bowls and cornhole, and laughter-filled moments that turned simple games into shared triumphs. Applause rang out when impressive scores were achieved.

Later, guided by our instructor, we tested our aim at rifle shooting, cheering especially loudly for the sharpest shots. In between, we relaxed with games, treats, and a little pampering, enjoying that perfect balance of activity and leisure.

Sunday shone just as brightly. After breakfast we played more games, then threw ourselves into a Swinging 60s dance class, laughing through missteps until we finally found the rhythm. Cheers erupted during the darts competition when one of our own reached the final rounds. 

That afternoon’s music from Daniel Wallage created a warm atmosphere before the evening’s grand finale. The resident band Central Park filled the room with danceable classics, and the highlight performance by Warner Theatre Company whisked us through beloved musical moments from Oliver!, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We sang, clapped, and beamed with delight.
