Warners Leisure Resort
Today we headed to Portsmouth to climb the Spinnaker Tower, the Sail of the Solent. This
170-meter-high observation tower offered spectacular views across the English
Channel. Some of us bravely walked along the glass platform where we could see all
the way down to the pavement. The views were incredible, and we could see all
the way over to the Isle of Wight and we even spotted Hayling Island. Once
we had made it back to the ground we took a stroll along the docks, which is
home to some of the most famous ships. It was fascinating to learn about its
naval history.
It was a unanimous vote to catch
the hovercraft over to the Isle of Wight which was a first-time experience for
all of us. We couldn’t believe that it only takes 10 minutes to get there!
After a quick and calm crossing, we had arrived, and we were ready to explore.
We sat for a while admiring the other hovercraft and boats depart from the
port, there was a real hustle and bustle about the place.
There were so many activities for us to join in with from music quizzes to general knowledge. It was then for a game of music bingo, and it
was obviously Stephen’s lucky day as he shouted out ‘bingo’ at the top of his
voice! He received another prize and couldn’t be happier!
The games continued of the pool table and we all tried our hardest to pot the all important black.
