Potters Leisure Resort
We felt like we were in a magical winter wonderland as the whole of Potters had been decorated in twinkly lights and colourful baubles.
We hit the bowling alley for a few nail biting games! With men vs
ladies, we got quite competitive and everyone tried their best to get some
strikes. After a tense match, the ladies were victorious, and Katy had a huge
score of 92.
We hit the dance floor for a Salsa class with Santa. We had so much fun,
laughing as we learnt the steps, which we soon picked up. We then ventured over
to the bar where we played a quiz called ‘Christmas Hits’. All working together
as a team we had to guess the title, the artist and the year that the song was
released.
We loved splashing around and practising our swimming in the pool.
The evening entertainment was fantastic. Every night we eagerly made our way to the theatre to watch the spectacular shows! One of our favourites was the showstopping
performance ‘Broadway and Beyond’, which blew us away! With epic performances
from hit musicals The Greatest Showman, Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys and
many more. We toe tapped and sang along to all the well-known tunes.
A morining was spent with an archery lesson. We were absolute
naturals and Katy won a medal for her great score!
It
was a unanimous vote for the pottery painting class. We decided to decorate
Christmas baubles, and we had some real artist in the group. Everyone was
extremely pleased with their finished masterpieces.
We participated in Mrs Brown’s Christmas dance class! We were intrigued to know what it would
entail! We had guessed correctly; a fun and mischievous dance class! Mrs Brown
wasn’t on her best behaviour! She had us in fits of laughter at her outrageous
dance moves.
The
entertainment team saved a special treat for our last night. We were guests to the
premier of the first ever Potters Christmas Panto! There were bright coloured
costumes, perfectly performed dance routines, Christmas songs galore and lots
and lots of laughs.
We celebrated their success with a huge round of applause, waving our Union Jack flag.
