Bowling & Pool Competition- Essex with Claire, Duncan & Netty

Bowling & Pool Competition
It was off to Legends Pool Hall to begin the first leg of the eagerly awaited competition! We familiarised ourselves with the tables and picked out our lucky cues.

Each pair played ‘best of three’ games to decide who would make it into the quarter finals with the semi -finals and the final to be played tomorrow. After some nail biting, close games we had our finalists.

Next up was the first round of the bowling competition. Everyone was keen to score highly as the results would be carried forward to the next game. Once again, everyone gave a fantastic performance and there were some great strikes.

We had a little time to enjoy the amusement arcades after lunch which we loved!Lots of tickets were won, especially by Rishna, which she later exchanged for little gifts or sweets.

Back at Legends for the last rounds of the nail-biting pool competition.Tensions were high, but everyone remained focused throughout. Alan was crowned champion of the men’s final. Everyone was great sportsmen and women and congratulated one another on their success!

Rishna played a superb game and was the overall winner for the girls.

The competition really heated up for the final round, with plenty of strikes, spares and some more big scores! The biggest scorer from today’s bowling contest was Pascal with a staggering cumulative score of 253 points across both games. Hot on Pascal’s heels was Michael with 234 points, and this was followed up by Jonathan with a very good score of 227 points for both of his games.

It was the moment that everyone had been waiting for……the prize giving ceremony! This year’s competition ended with an unusual result as all three of the top players, Rishna, Jonathan and Pascal all ended the contest with the exact same accumulative scores! But there could only be one winner! It was decided the fairest way to decide on an overall winner would be to go over the score sheets and see who had scored the most strikes. With a big drum roll Rishna, was the overall winner of the ladies’ bowling tournament as well as the winner of the ladies’ pool competition. An equally big well done to Alan, who won the men’s pool competition and to Pascal, who was victorious in the bowling competition. Huge cheers and claps were given as each player received a special medal and a certificate.
