The Wonders of the Isle of Wight with Darren & Candy

The Wonders of the Isle of Wight

We arrived at the wonderful Isle of Wight!

Today we visited the infamous tourist attraction, The Needles at Alum Bay. We all spent time making our own sand souvenirs, where we got to choose our own glass ornament and fill it with different coloured sands. Sands that can only be found on the island itself!
Next we enjoyed a demonstration of glass blowing. The craftsmanship that goes into making these products was simply incredible to
watch!

The sweet factory was everyone's favourite of the day, we saw how sweets are being made and we even got to sample some of these treats...lucky us!

The Military and Heritage Museum holds an interesting mix of war vehicles, artefacts and a range of uniforms from the 19th century.
Some of the group took it in turns in handling the wars arms!

We visited the amazing Model Village in Godshill, this attraction is set in 2 acres of land and showcases scale models of Shanklin and Godshill villages as they were in the 1920's. We also had time you take some great pictures of different scenes.

Our evenings were filled with a range of fantastic shows which ranged from live bands and tribute act. This was the perfect opportunity for us to show off our brilliant dance moves!
