Butlins, Fun & Dancing
We were thoroughly entertained each evening at the Center Stage, dancing to all the amazing tribute acts! We saw tribute act of Elton John, the Spice Girls & the Beatles. On the dance floor we all took the opportunity to dance with the Red Coat!
We had lots of thrills at the funfair, we all enjoyed our selves immensely on the Carousel, paratrooper ride and the bumper cars. A few of us tried
our luck at the "hook a bag" and all received a lovely prize to take
home.
Natureland
Seal Sanctuary. We managed to watch the rescued seal pups being fed and listen
to the handler explain how the sick pups were rescued and are being nursed back
to health so that they can soon be released back into their natural
habitat. We saw snakes, spiders, a water dragon and some crocodiles before
heading outside where we watched the Meerkats playing and basking in the
sunshine! We fed and stroked the goats and alpacas before heading into the
tropical house with the beautiful plants and flowers.
We
walked along the seafront and stopped to meet the donkeys on the beach who
enjoyed being made a fuss of by the group.
We
visited the WW1 and WW11 exhibits, where we saw a fantastic collection of
military memorabilia including weapons, uniforms, photos, books and
various forms of transport. At the village Church Farm, the
group had fun in learning how to milk a cow and we were all very successful in
filling up the bucket. We walked around the beautiful grounds and were
lucky enough to see the traction engine which is currently being restored.
