Attractions of Blakcpool
We
were all very excited to take a ride on the horse and carriage along the seafront.
The ladies especially enjoyed being in the beautiful Cinderella carriage,
feeling like princesses waving to passers by. We then walked along the promenade
popping in and out of the gift shops and taking in the sights of this seaside
town.
A trip to the sea side wouldn’t be complete without an ice cream!
At the Madam
Tussauds Waxwork museum we had great
fun having photographs with our favourite celebrities. We couldn’t believe how
life like they were!
We were super excited to be going to the circus! In the ‘big top’ we laughed at the antics of the clowns and sat in amazement at the daring tricks performed by the trapeze artistes and the roller skaters that whizzed by.
A
trip to the Sea Life Centre was next which found us exploring the rain forest and
watching various fish swimming past us. We really loved the rock pool section
where we got to touch some starfish.
We couldn’t wait for the Legends Show, in the famous Blackpool
Tower. We were treated to a variety of tribute acts including Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Tom Jones and
Freddy Mercury. We sang our hearts out to all the well known songs with huge
smiles on our faces.
At the Blackpool Tower we
braved the heights of the Tower, where we stood on the glass floor looking all
the way down to the ground. The views from the top, 410 feet high, to be exact
was breath taking with view all along the coastline. We then watched a 3D film where
we were splashed with water which took us all by surprise!
On
our final day we enjoyed a scenic drive through the Lake District before
boarding our boat at Ambleside across to Bowness. We spotted lots of wildlife
and enjoyed waving to the other boats as they sailed by.
