Biscuit Bake Off in France
We learned all about chocolate, where it comes from and how its made. We all made some
different chocolate shapes and tasted lots too!! It was an interesting and fun
experience enjoyed by all. We visited their shop where we all purchased chocolate
gifts.
At Nausicaa we
saw sharks, lagoons, a coral jungle, sea lions, jelly fish, snakes, turtles
and an enormous collection of brightly coloured fish in all shapes and sizes.
We all dressed up in our hats and
aprons and watched carefully how to make biscuits. Some of us rolled out the
dough and used cutters to make specific biscuit shapes. The experience was great and everyone was amazed at how few
ingredients were needed to make such a tasty biscuit. After the presentation we
were all handed a bag which had certificates with our names printed on and a
photograph of us all together and some delicious biscuit's to take away.
We climbed the Rampards in Montreuil which eventually led us to The Citadel Castle. The Castle was interesting and had lots of underground stairways leading
into tunnels. The stonework was old and broken and the views from the top
were fabulous.
In Etaples we strolled around a small market where there
was lots of stalls selling handbags, clothes, food, flowers, furniture, in
fact, just about everything!
We
visited the WW11 Museum which is over 25 years and was packed with thousands of different bits of
memorabilia from the Second World War, the war in which 55 million people died.
There were over 100 models staged to recreate the soldiers during the war and
what they were wearing, and the guns they carried etc.
