Butlins, Fun and Dancing
After arriving and getting settled into our rooms, we headed out for some delicious pizza, pasta and salad! It was then on to enjoy the evening's entertainment - we danced to the disco hits before watching the main show 'The Ragdolls' - who performed a fabulous mix of songs for us.
We spent our first day in Lynmouth. We walked along the beautiful seafront and looked in some gift shops. Some of the group braved the Lynmouth Cliff Railway - this unique, Victorian water powered lift, offers spectacular views across Lynmouth Bay! In the evening we enjoyed traditional fish and chips for dinner, followed by some more dancing on the dance-floor to a performance called 'Aladdin Rocks'!
We enjoyed a friendly game of boys vs girls bowling. The highest scorer from each team was presented with a Butlins mug for their efforts! Next it was off to the funfair where the group experienced the bumper cars, carousel, waltzers and the high swings! After a quick stop at the arcades to play the penny machines, the group got ready for a lovely pub meal. It was then back to the dance-floor afterwards to enjoy some singing and dancing to various music hits from the 60s and 70s!
The group had a great time listening to a wonderful band playing many hits! The evening was full of dancing and singing along to the music!
