Blackpool with Steve & Michaela

We bubbled with excitement as we made our way up to the fantastic Blackpool! Holiday here we come!  Upon arriving at our beautiful resort, we found our spacious and very comfortable bungalows, freshened up and set out to explore!

 

 

 

 

 

We spent some fabulous days in Blackpool, walking along the promenade and pier, taking in the sights and sounds of the buzzing town.  We ambled along, ice creams in hand, soaking up the atmosphere.  A marvellous day was spent at Blackpool Zoo, visiting all of the animals and enjoying the warm sunshine.   

 

 

  We visited the amazing Tower Ballroom. We had posh tea and cakes as we watched the wonderful dancers whirling around the dance floor!

 

Everyone LOVED the Sea Life Centre, where we walked amongst sharks and held tiny starfish.  From gigantic lobsters and massive crabs, to gliding sting rays and cheerful penguins, we really did see it all!  The sheer variety of colourful marine life was astonishing and we loved being so close to it all. 

 

 

An afternoon was spent at the magical Tower Circus, where we watched incredible acrobats performing breath taking displays of brave routines.  The motorbike show stunned us all and we wandered how on earth they managed it!  The clowns were wonderful and made us all laugh, clap and cheer!

 

 

A heady trip to the top of the tower  allowed us to look out over impressive views of Blackpool.  We even took some brave steps on the glass floor, where we could look right down to the ground, 380ft below us! 

 

A visit to Madam Tussauds was a must!  We had our photos taken with all of the stars and felt like celebrities ourselves.  From Simon Cowell and Lady Gaga, to The Beatles and The Royal Family, we were able to get close to all of our favourite characters.  What a super, super holiday we had!
