South Coast Sea, Sand and Attractions with Phil, Wendy, Pat & Adrian

We couldn't have had a more fantastic 2 weeks in beautiful Cornwall.  The sun shone brightly almost every day and we had so many exciting adventures!

We stayed in a delightful apartment in a fantastically friendly village.  Our holiday kicked off with a visit to the beautiful Dartmoor Zoo. We saw the biggest variety of big cats in the West of England!  We also saw wallabies, meerkats, racoons, lions, tigers and many more wonderful animals.

We spent a delightful day in Dartmoor, taking in the stunning scenery, and ate delicious ice creams at Widdecombe Moor.  We had a very special steam train ride, enjoying tea, scones and sandwiches along the way!  It was like being zapped back in time, and it was fascinating to see the old train working.

We visited Seaton in East Devon for a glorious afternoon by the sea. We paddled and sunbathed and soaked up the warm summer sunshine.  We loved the fresh, coastal atmosphere.  We also went to the historic town of Tavistock on the River Tavy where we wandered leisurely and bought souvenirs!

We took an amazing boat trip up and down the tranquil River Dart.  We passed many interesting villages and building.  We saw an array of local wildlife including buzzards, ospreys, egrets, guillemots and gannets.

We loved our trip to Lands End where absorbed the breath-taking natural coastline.  We saw cliffs carved out of the waves by the mighty Atlantic ocean. We got soaked at the 4D cinema where our seats rocked - what fun!   Then onto Polperro, a very picturesque fishing village on the River Pol, followed by a trip to Looe which was extremely beautiful.

A day was spent doing the Round Robin trip which was just fantastic.  We started off with a steam train ride, followed by a boat trip and lastly an open top bus ride.  We spotted herons, seals and even a kingfisher!  We had the most amazing cream tea in the pretty village of Cawsand on the Rame Peninsula.

Our evenings were spent at the clubhouse on our site, where we sipped on drinks and danced our socks off!   What a superb holiday we had!

  1. Really nice sharing I am impressed! I have no experience of this region's tourism but I visited Prague few months ago. Here I want to share my experience of my tour. It is a nice region to visit in the world. It is one of the most popular destinations on the continent. This state attracts about 4 million visitors each year. I visited this destination few months ago after my niagara falls trip with my friends. Dancing House is an amazing and interesting place to see. This building was created by Czech architect Valdo Milunic and Canadian Frank Gehry. It contains both dynamic and static elements. It is located on the bank of the Vltava River and Resslova Street.
