 The Island of Malta  Our first full day brought sunshine and fun. We enjoyed a gentle introduction to Malta with a stroll along the seafront, drinks at Café Royale, and a relaxing afternoon by the pool and rooftop Sky Bar, taking in sweeping views across the bay.    We travelled by open-top bus to Sliema for a harbour cruise around Marsamxett and the Grand Harbour, passing historic fortifications, Valletta’s skyline, and the Three Cities. Drinks on deck, sunshine on the water, and fascinating commentary made it a highlight. Sunday’s excursion took us to the colourful Marsaxlokk Market, where we browsed souvenirs and local crafts beside the harbour’s bright fishing boats. On Monday we explored Mdina, travelling the scenic Blue Route past elegant districts, gardens, and Malta’s famous rotunda.   Las Vegas, Live Shows & Grand Canyon  The Flamingo , our hotel for the week, felt like stepping straight onto a movie set: neon-pink lights, swaying palm trees, marble floors, and the hum of the casino below. After settling into our spacious rooms, we soaked in the glittering sights and the buzz of one of the world’s most famous cities — the adventure had officially begun. Stepping out onto Las Vegas Boulevard , the energy hit like a neon tidal wave: street performers, flashing lights, towering hotels, and the smell of sizzling street food. At The Bellagio , the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens dazzled with autumn displays, moving water features, and thousands of flowers — pure magic. Designer shops tempted the wallets, while the famous fountains danced outside to music. Clinton enjoyed a lucky $20 win at the casino, immediately spent on a souvenir t-shirt — the first of many memories. Evening brought the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert at Harrah’s .
