The Wonders of the Isle of Wight with Ayshea & Darren

The Wonders of the Isle of Wight

Eager to begin our adventure we headed straight to the infamous tourist attraction The Needles and we loved looking through the telescope at the breathtaking views.

A stop at the Sand Shop was a must and here everyone had the chance to choose a glass shape to fill with colourful sand. Some picked a cat, others a heart, as souvenirs for friends and family.

It was down to the archery hut where Steve, the instructor, was incredibly helpful and amusing, making sure we all had fun while learning the basics. Some of us managed to pop the balloons on the archery board, and others scored high marks by hitting the red section. It was a lot of fun and a wonderful experience.

A friendly bowling tournament was a must. It was women vs. men, and there was plenty of competition. Congratulations to John for getting a strike! In the end, the women emerged victorious, with Pamela leading the team with a score of 81. The men’s team fought hard, but the final tally was 334, compared to the women’s impressive 364.

The evening entertainment was 1st class! From musical medleys to one of favourite shows being an Amy Winehouse tribute act. Not only did she look just like her, she sounded just like her too! We were always the last on the dance floor in true JollyDays style.

We spent a few of our holiday pennies down at the amusements arcade winning tickets that we later exchanged for small prizes.
