Disneyland Paris with Isobel & Matt

 Disneyland Paris

Two magical days were spent in Disneyland Paris and we had huge smiles on our faces from start to finish.

We were keen to take on as many rides as possible starting with soaring through the sky on Aladdin’s Magic Carpet ride.

Next, we headed to Toy Story Land and went on the fantastic Parachute Drop ride. Wow! At 80 feet high we had the most amazing views over the park.

Luckily for us Jessie from Toy Story was signing autographs and we managed to get her to squiggle her name in our books and have some pictures taken with her too! What a brilliant moment!

Some of the group were brave enough to experience Hyperspace Mountain, a Stars Wars themed ride playing the theme tune as we whizzed around in the dark.

Next, was the thrilling Star Wars Tour ride in which you board your ship and embark on an intergalactic voyage to galaxies far, far away with 60 incredible 3D missions to discover. Once off the ride you come through the Star Wars shop which is where Charlie’s wish came true as he got to make his very own light sabre. One of the friendly staff helped him chose every single piece and gradually, he had built the perfect one! He was absolutely delighted with the finished result, and we all agreed it looked pretty special.

The most amazing evening was spent back at the castle where we took our spot for the evening Disney Dreams Nighttime Spectacular. We watched as Peter Pan lead us through the many beloved Disney stories which were projected and brought to life with special effects onto the castle. This was all accompanied by jaw dropping fireworks as the songs from Disney films rang out across the land. Everyone was transfixed by the spectacular performance, and some were even moved to tears. It really was sight to behold.

As if our day couldn’t get any better, we were off to meet the most famous mouse in the world! No sooner had we walked in we received the biggest hug and our smiles on our faces said it all. What a special moment this was! After plenty of interaction with him, we had our photo taken and got his autographs before lots more cuddles.

One of the highlights of our day was the infamous Dream and Shine Brighter Parade. There was a real party atmosphere amongst the crowds as the carnival floats passed by. With bright colours and music blasting out it was hard not to have a little dance! We waved as the characters passed including Mickey and Minnie, Rapunzel, Pluto, Woody & Jessie, Princess Tiana and many more. It was such a fun experience, and we all loved it when they waved back at us.

Next, we made our way over to Its a Small World ride and climbed aboard the little boats which slowly pass through many countries and regions of the world with the most spectacular animatronic dolls. In fact, there are 200 of them all dressed in their traditional costumes, full of the bright colours with the catchiest theme song in the whole wide world which is why it’s the most popular ride in Disney.

Now for another memorable moment…. meeting Princess Belle in her iconic yellow ballgown. We felt so lucky to have our photo taken with her and she happily signed our autograph book to remind us of this special moment.

We treated ourselves to the most delicious shaped Mickey Mouse donuts!

Happily, we then headed over to the Dumbo ride, flying high in the sky before whizzing around on the famous Teacups, then sailed through the stormy sea on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
