Stadium Tours - Premiership Football Clubs with Midi, Netty & Lesley

Stadium Tours - Premiership Football Club

Excitement was riding high as we made our way to our first stadium tour of the holiday. We arrived with the Emirates looming above us and was overwhelmed with happiness at the prospect of the experience ahead of us! First stop was a tour of the fantastic museum, going back right through the hundred years plus history of the football team right through to the present day. There was so many interesting facts and memorabilia to look through.

Next, we embarked on our stadium tour which began with walking out into the fantastic director’s box with incredible views across the stadium.

We saw the changing rooms, the dugouts, the tunnel and really soaked up the atmosphere of what it might be like to be part of the Arsenal team. What a great experience!
It was off to the  Olympic Park in London for our second stadium tour. This fantastic ground is the home of West Ham football club and was built for the Olympics in 2012. It certainly was an impressive sight to see and we were all excited to take the tour. We were greeted by our guide who showed us around the VIP lounges.

We loved going in the players changing rooms, seeing all the players shirts hanging up.

It was an amazing experience being able to walk out through the tunnel onto the pitch. We could only imagine what it would sound like to hear the roar of the crowd.

As it was only next door we decided to explore the inside of the velodrome. We were all amazed at the steepness of the sides of the cycling track and thought how difficult it must be for cyclists to keep upright.

We had a special surprise, an exclusive lesson in rugby, with Hertford Rugby Club. Everyone was excited to join in and learn the basics of throwing, kicking and passing the ball. The highlight was playing a short game of touch rugby and then afterwards we went to the club house for a post-match drink and chat.

A day we had been waiting for - a trip to Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. As we parked the minibus and looked at the stadium, it felt like we were about to walk into a spaceship. Once inside it didn't fail to amaze us and we learnt that this new stadium is the largest in Europe and the most technologically advanced stadium in the world!

We met our wonderful guide, who did a fabulous job of showing us around. We marvelled at all the shiny trophies on display.

We saw the away and home team changing rooms, the press room, VIP lounges, tunnel and pitch. Each area was ultra-luxurious. Plus, the pitch was a moveable one and could be set up for football or NFL games.

Down in the press room we felt like famous footballers being interviewed by the press. ,

The crowd cheered as we made our way onto the pitch and once again we saw all of our favourite players shirts.

We took a drive to Lee Valley White Water Centre where we enjoyed a wander around, watching the amazing stunts some of the athletes performed in the rushing water with their canoes.

It was game on down at the bowling alley for an action packed afternoon. There were some great shots and a few strikes. Great fun was had playing on the arcade games and machines.
