Butlins, Fun & Dancing ( Skegness ) with Darren & Rachel

Butlins, Fun & Dancing

Being at Butlins always puts a smile on our face and we loved posing for photos with Billy the bear.

We went in search of some fun down at the fairground where we crashed and bumped into each other on the dodgems and were lucky winners on the old fashion fun fair games.

Continuing our lucky streak we spent some of our holiday pennies on the arcade machines winning tickets to exchange for prizes.

The RedCoats always made us feel welcome, chatting and dancing the night away with us. The evening entertainment never disappointed us and we loved partying away in true JollyDays style.

A lovely afternoon was spent at Gibraltar Point where there is  over 1000 acres of nature reserve. We decided to take the route down to the sea where you could make out the Norfolk coastline.

A visit to the Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Park was a must. We witnessed the medical care of four pups which are all doing well and will soon be able to be released back to their natural habitat. One of these seals who they named Barracuda was very interested in us and loved the attention we gave him. We explored the rest of the park marvelling at primates, reptiles, birds of prey and some cheeky meerkats. Our favourite animal was the lynx. This large cat was so beautiful and graceful looking in real life.

A friendly few games of bowling was enjoyed and there were some impressive shots and a few strikes.
