Bowling & Pool Competition (Essex) with Duncan, Tracey & Isobel

 Bowling & Pool Competition

It was off to Legends Pool Club where the friendly staff recognised some familiar faces and welcomed us back to the club.

The balls had been racked up for us and after spending a few minutes choosing our lucky cue’s it was game on! After a few hours of intense action and some amazing games we knew it was going to be an exciting semi-final.

There were some really close matches, making it too early to tell who our champion would be.

Tournament number 2 got under way down at the bowling alley for our next round of competitions. We played two games with Sarah kicking off the nail biting tournament with none other than a strike! What an amazing start! This set the bar high, but the others weren’t going to let her win that easily! Determined and focused everyone gave it their best shot and there were a few fantastic bowls.

Once again, an incredibly tight match with some super high scores. It was all to play for!

We spent some time playing on the arcade machines. We managed to win some tickets which we later exchanged for some small prizes.

It was time to play our A game, giving it our best shot! The excitement grew and everyone did a great job of hiding their nerves. With eyes on the prize the focus was on potting the all important black. We all witnessed some incredible shots and before long we had our two finalists Jonathan and Mark.

After composing themselves and refocussing, the final got under way……and what a fantastic final it proved to be.

Jonathan ended up winning the final match and was crowned King of the competition. Everyone deservingly won a medal for their incredible efforts and sportsmanship.

The last leg of the bowling tournament got underway. The competition had really started to heat up with everyone battling away aiming for some high scores, with lots of strikes and some excellent play. After another tense game, it was amazing to see a great sense of sportsmanship amongst the group with everyone congratulating each other for their amazing effort.

It was then the moment that everyone had been waiting for! As the drumroll started it was announced that in joint 3rd place was Mark, Sarah and Gary. A close 2nd was Alan, but our champion of the bowling tournament was Jonathan.

The double win for Jonathon meant that he was also awarded ‘overall champion’ of the competition. What an amazing achievement Jonathan!
