Center Parcs Leisure Resort (Woburn) with Duncan & Tracey

 Center Parcs Leisure Resort

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as we arrived at Center Parcs for our festive holiday.

We explored Winter Wonderland which was really magical. As we walked around we were able to get loads of great photos and met lots of Santa’s elves who were kind enough to pose with us for some photos.

It was a special day as we celebrated Anna’s birthday! The dining area of the girl’s lodge had been magically decorated overnight with balloons and banners and the breakfast table was adorned with party hats and poppers. We enjoyed a slap-up breakfast fit for a king, queen and our birthday girl! We all sang Anna ‘happy birthday’ as she was presented with a delicious chocolate birthday cake!

It was time to make a splash in the Sub Tropical swimming pool. The pool area was like a tropical rain forest with green foliage everywhere and rope bridges and other jungle décor! First the gang made a splash on the rapids, sending us shooting round corners, dips and slides. This was just the start of our fun! Next, we grabbed some big inflatables and whizzed down the slides making a huge splash at the bottom. We all felt very brave for conquering the impressive Typhoon slide. We then grabbed another inflatable but this time we took a slow drift along the lazy river which was a bit more relaxing than the adrenalin pumping water slides!

After dinner one evening we took a stroll around the lake which looked beautiful all lit up in the dark. We had arrived back at the Winter Wonderland area where we then joined the light trail which was simply stunning. We followed the path taking us on a magical journey through different Christmas scenes, listening to the festive music along the way. We were wowed by the amazing light and laser displays with such a variety of bright colours. It was an experience we won’t forget.

It was game on as we headed down to the crazy golf course. It was like walking through an enchanted woodland with amazing wood carvings on every hole including a giant tree man! Mikey was the best putter completing the 9 holes in just 28 shots, but Will finished strong with an amazing hole in one on the final and most difficult hole!

A spot of late night game of bowling was in order. It was really cool as it was lit up in bright disco lights. With plenty of high scores and strikes we crowned Will our champion, with the Anna coming a close second!

Fun on the lake was had as we climbed aboard our electric boats for a cruise on the water. It took a few moments to get to grips with the steering but once we had figured it out we were cruising our way round the lake having a whale of a time.

The painters amongst us showed off their artistic skills decorating pottery. Everyone was extremely pleased with their final masterpiece.

The boys got competitive down on the badminton courts and showed off their rallying skills!

There was only one place we were heading to for lunch-  The Pancake House! Light, fluffy pancakes, with every topping imaginable was the perfect way to fill a hole! As always, we weren’t disappointed!

A late night swim was the perfect way to end the day. The pool had a whole different ambience to it in the dark as the lights were kept very low and the Christmas decorations and lights outside looked fantastic as we whizzed passed them on our way down the rapids. We had a go on all of the adrenalin pumping water slides and had a gentler ride round the lazy river.
