Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Minehead) with Duncan & Tracey

 Butlins, Fun & Dancing

We love our holiday's at Butlins. We are always made to feel so welcome by the friendly Red Coats and we alway enjoying meeting them on the dance floor, showing off our disco moves!

A beautiful day was spent exploring the villages of Lynton and Lynmouth where Exmoor meets the sea! It was a short but beautiful drive through the Exmoor National Park with deep valleys and rolling green hills to our left and steep cliffs and fantastic sea views on the right. we headed to the Cliff Top Railway where we took a ride all the way to the top of the cliffs on a Victorian water powered tram.

The views from the tram were amazing but it wasn't until we arrived at the top that we really got to see just how spectacular the views really are.

A game of mini golf was on the agenda and this challenging course was full of pirates and treasure chests making it so much fun trying to get a ‘hole in one’.

We went racing around camp on the fast and furious Go Karts.

The funfair was thoroughly enjoyed as we flew high in the sky on the High Chairs. We whizzed around on the Waltzer and elegantly rode on the Carousel. The Hook a Duck stall proved to be a hit with all of us and we all managed to win some great prizes!

We always looked forward to the live evening shows. The variety meant there was something for everyone. The minute the music started we were always the first ones clapping and singing along to the show stopping songs.

We were so lucky with the weather that we couldn't resist spending some time at the beach. The brave amongst dipped our toes in the cool water...... but we weren't quite daring enough to go for a swim!

A beautiful morning was had visiting the Medieval village of Dunster and its spectacular looking castle. We took a slow walk around the castle and its grounds taking time to enjoy its breathtaking views across both land and sea! We explored its immaculate gardens in the gloriously warm sunshine then finished our visit by walking to the Dunster Water Mill which for centuries has been milling local flour and is still to this very day.

It was game on as we hit the bowling alley. It was a nail biting match, with close, high scores. Everyone was great sports!
