Warners- Alvaston with Darren & Isobel

 Warners-Alvaston

How lucky are we to have stayed in such a beautiful hotel. Our few days were jammed packed with fun quizzes and live entertainment.

Every night we were treated to a live show full of glitz and glamor. You would always find us dancing the night away to the disco hits.

The Freddie Mercury fans amongst us were thrilled when Bohemian Rock, a tribute to the world famous band Queen took to the stage!

We explored the medieval town of Nantwich, taking a stroll through the atmospheric cobbled streets, surrounded by beautiful Tudor and Georgian architecture. The streets were lined with bijoux boutiques, antiques dealers and contemporary craft shops all busy with shoppers and we happily bought some souvenirs to take home with us.

Today we visited Middleport Pottery located in Stoke -On-Trent. Built in 1988 the buildings are still filled with stunning original features and we stepped back in time to explore and learn all about Middleport Pottery which is where the world famous Burleigh pottery has been created, using traditional methods.

We hit the bowling alley and split into two groups where the competitive sides definitely came out of us. It was great fun as we all took turns picking the ‘lucky’ bowling ball and plenty of strikes where scored.

We had time to try our luck in the arcades and we also managed a few frames of pool.

We made the most of the beautiful, well kept gardens and enjoyed exploring in the fresh air.
