Butlins, Fun & Dancing (Skegness) with Candy & John

Butlins, Fun & Dancing

We spent the day at the Seal Sanctuary. We learnt that the sanctuary has rescued over 850 seals and returned them all to the wild! Luckily for us it was feeding time for the hungry seals and penguins and we watched these greedy animals gobble up their dinner.

The sensation of walking through the Butterfly enclosure was amazing. There were so many different colours and species to look at. We also got to see meerkats, snakes, and crocodiles.

Dancing the night away with the friendly Red Coats was always a highlight of our holiday. We thought they were very impressed with some of our dance moves.

A fantastic day was spent at The Village, an open air museum. We explored the way working and upper class people lived in the 1700; by going through their respected houses, dressing up in costumes and experiencing the school classroom. We also went through a display of WW1 and WW2 paraphernalia whilst listening to Winston Churchill’s famous speeches.

The fun of the fair always put smiles on our faces. Excitement and laughter was had on every ride. The elegant carousel and flying high in the sky on the swings were our favourite rides.

The entertainment team always put on incredible shows. We were dazzled by the singing and dancing. It wasn't long before we were up on our feet showing off our great dance moves.

As the sun was shining we took a stroll down to the beach and took in the sea air.

A competitive few games of bowling were had; Girls v Boys, and both teams were showing their fighting spirit! There were some great scores and impressive strikes!

We love exploring the Butlins sight and having our pictures taken with the fun memorabilia.

A delicious ice cream is always a must when we are on holiday!

The facilities at Butlins are great. We loved splashing around in the pool, relaxing in the lazy river and whizzing down the water slides.
