London Sightseeing & Theatre with Netty, Midi and Marguerite

 London Sightseeing & Theatre

We visited Covent Garden, it had such a great atmosphere with lots of people, stalls selling Christmas gifts and fantastic street entertainers. The market was decorated with beautiful Christmas decorations, the main feature being the huge reindeer that was lit up by twinkly fairy lights.

We first visited the amazing St Paul’s Cathedral and The Tower of London where we spent a long time having a good look around the outside of this iconic landmark. At the Imperial War Museum we experienced the exceptional stories of people whose lives have been forever impacted by war. We enjoyed strolling around the gallery whilst looking at interesting documents, objects and art.

We excitedly made our way to the London Eye. Here, we had the most amazing sights, looking out across the City. The dusky night sky with the buildings lit up really made everything look magical.

We headed out in the beautiful sunshine to Trafalgar Square. We took in all the wonders of the history of this amazing landmark before going in the National Portrait Gallery. We marvelled at all the wonderful pieces of artwork from around the world and we all agreed they were absolutely beautiful.

We were off to the theatre to see Motown the Musical. This musical tells the story of the renowned record producer’s professional relationships with artists such as Diana Ross and Michael Jackson.

We watched an amazing scene of the horse guards perform a 20 gun salute in honour of Prince Charles’s 70th birthday.

The Cenotaph was very near and we stopped to look at all the poppy wreaths that had been laid in front. It was a very moving moment and we all took time to pay our respects.

We passed Downing Street stopping for a photo shoot with the iconic red telephone boxes, then onto Westminster Bridge and Big Ben. Our final stop was at Oxford Street to be dazzled by the 1,178 famous Christmas lights and festive window displays.
