Exploring the Alum Bay visitor centre was so much fun! First we went into the sand crafting shop and all made models filled with beautiful different coloured sands. Then we watched the glass-blowing experts and see how sticky sweets are made.
We visited the pretty village of Godshill, where we enjoyed our lunch in a vineyard, even tasting the fresh grapes. The pub where we had our lunch was also in the famous Model Village, where we could see all of the buildings, airfield and railway line made as miniature models.
At the Alpaca Farm we saw a variety of animals, including
sheep, lambs, pygmy goats, pigs, chickens, pheasants and obviously the llamas
and alpacas. The animals seemed very pleased to see us too!
The Entertainment Team performed one of their special shows, featuring songs recorded at Abbey Road studios – memorable and musical. We all took the chance to have a good dance and sing our heart out!
We visited a museums about ships and diving
in the area around the Isle of Wight. There were many fascinating items found
from old shipwrecks and also models and details about the people who were the
divers. We found some fancy dress clothing there too, pretending to be pirates
in a card game!
