Norfolk - Boats, Trains & Seaside
We were all excited to get on board our cruiser. It was a wonderful day on the water – along the way we stopped at a few places to have a
stroll around and visit the shops. We had our picnic lunch on board our cruiser and celebrated Peter's birthday! Everyone was able to steer the
cruiser and were awarded with a certificate of achievement for their efforts.
We sailed around the Norfolk Broads. With the sun shining down on us, we made
our way along the Broads taking in all the beautiful sights and wildlife along
the way. We saw a pair of swans with nine cygnets in-tow, such a special
sighting!
On another sunny day some of us wemt canoeing while others went on the motor cruiser. We all agreed it was so much fun!
We boarded a steam train which took us through the stunning countryside
onto Holt. Holt station has a very impressive model railway and railway museum
which we spent some time looking around.
We visited an animal farm, restaurant and
craft studios – we got the opportunity to feed the goats, chickens and horses. We
were even able to hold 2-day old baby chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits. Bottle
feeding the baby cows was wonderful!
