Christmas Pantomime
In Cambridge city centre we leisurely walked around a vibrant Christmas market where we looked at tempting gifts and souvenirs. The streets were alive with the joy of the festivities!
On a sunny day we enjoyed some punting on the
River Cam. We saw some amazing buildings and architecture including Trinity
College and Hall, as well as St. John's College - which has its own bridge and
Wren Library built by Sir Christopher Wren. Then under another bridge that was
used in the filming of one of the Harry Potter films!
At the Cambridge Arts theatre we saw the Dick
Whittington Panto. "Oh no you didn't!" "Oh yes we
did!!" Two and a half hours of singing, fun, banter and belly
laughing!
At the bowling alley everyone was in the competitive spirit and managed some impressive scores.
We visited the Cambridge Science Centre, where we explored everything from cells to survival. We made paper helicopters and flew them in the wind machines. We played lots of interactive games and gained knowledge about insects and how they survive.
