Lake District Activity Centre with Phil, Tini & Jim

Lake District Activity Centre

We challenged ourselves at the indoor and outdoor climbing walls and everyone showed real determination and all had a fabulous time!

After being fitted into our harnesses,we were ready to fly down and along the zip wire. We had so much fun!

We participated in an exciting archery competition to see which team could burst the most balloons.

We went to the Yorkshire Dales National park for a fun day of caving. We first explored ‘Yordas’ - a massive cave with a big waterfall, and then went through a dustbin slide down the cave valley entrance. Here we went through some knee-deep water.

We learned all about fire making and had a go at it too. We used the fire to light the pizza oven and make our own pizza. Amazing! We also popped popcorn on the open fire!

We had so much fun tackling the rope course which was a real challenge but everyone did really well.

We had such a great time at the craft department. We got our hands dirty while doing some clay modelling with the pottery wheel - so much fun! We also got very creative with our felted wool art.

We went to Lake Windermere and tried a few different types of padding: rafted canoeing, kayaking and canoeing. Everybody loved it. While exploring in our canoes, we stopped to see some ruins as well as an island along the way.
