We celebrated Charlottes’ 21st birthday at dinner on the first evening – the kind staff had decorated the table with balloons and party poppers! We watched the show ‘London’s Calling’ in the Atlas Theatre, which was incredible! Charlotte even got up on stage and received a birthday medal!
The following day we got up and had a lovely big breakfast and went outside to fly our kite! It was the most perfect day for it – sunny but very windy! For some of us it was our first time flying a kite, so it was a great experience. Throughout our week at Potters we took part in some quizzes in The Terrace Bar, and had lots of fun guessing the answers! We took part in the Curling competition twice and called ourselves 'The Jolly Hockey Sticks!' but unfortunately we didn’t win!
Other activities we took part were Latin dance classes, ten pin bowling (which Ceri scored an amazing 171!) and archery, where we all won medals for our efforts! We were all very proud and wore our medals to dinner! The staff that ran all of the activities were just amazing. They always made us laugh and came over to talk to us.
The shows throughout the week were outstanding. We watched a Jessie J tribute act, a Queen
Tribute show called Rhapsody, a Movie Show night, and a Michael Buble
show. The dancers and singers were
brilliant. On the last night we waved
our flags to Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem!
Home time came far too quickly but we had a fantastic week. None of us wanted to go home! We stopped at a very lovely pub on the way back and
chatted about our holiday and what our personal highlights! Happy JollyHolidays!
