Center Parcs Leisure Resort (Sherwood) with Oli & Ayshea

 Center Parcs Leisure Resort (Sherwood)

If you go down to the woods today- you'll find lots of happy 'Jolly' holiday makers excited for their holiday at Center Parcs.

We waisted no time at all getting stuck in with all the fantastic activities they have to offer. The boating lake proved to be a hit with us all. We had a blast paddling around, even bumping into each other once or twice and all got a go at being the skippers.

With the weather on our side, we decided to hire bikes. The Bike Centre had an impressive selection—including electric tricycles and kids’ bikes, which meant everyone could join in. After test rides and safety helmets, we split into two groups: a short ride and a longer one and we enjoyed being outside peddling away around the lake.

It was time to make a splash in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and we were amazed by the size of the pool complex. There were large and small slides, although most were happy to watch the others on them! Jamie and Christopher bravely tried out the big slides with support from Oli, while others relaxed in the warm whirlpool, which felt like a luxurious bath. Suddenly, we heard a familiar jungle call—Tarzan’s yell! That meant the wave machine was starting. We all sat in the shallow end and waited for the waves. The experience was relaxing, fun, and full of laughter.

Our next activity was a spot of crazy golf. We chose the 8-hole course. As we made our way around, we admired the wooden animal carvings—the stag was a group favourite. The game was filled with laughter, competitive counting, and friendly encouragement.

At the bowling alley, spirits were high. The room was aglow with neon lights, and everyone was determined to score a strike. Jamie got three strikes, Abigail followed suit, and others had excellent scores. The final results- Jamie was our winner with 127 – our winner! It was lovely to see everyone cheering and congratulating each other on.

We danced the night away at the family disco at Leisure Bowl. Everyone was up on their feet in true JollyDays style! We danced non-stop until the very last song.

Everyone was so excited for our pottery painting session. We chose an item to paint—mugs, turtles, and even a train and focused intently on our designs. Once finished, the items were placed in the kiln to be collected the next day.

We always made time for an ice cream on one  of our holidays.

We had time for one last activity—Crazy Pool at the Dozing Duck. This quirky mix of mini-golf and snooker was a first for all of us, but it was great fun. The tables were brightly decorated, and the highlight was a giant bee statue above one of the tables!
