Warners- Gunton Hall
Off on an adventure we visited Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve. It prides itself on saving some of the country’s most important wildlife nature reserves. An astounding 28 species of dragonfly have been spotted here. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the stunning countryside in the glorious sunshine. We also learnt that the tv program Spring Watch had been filmed here, too.
A fantastic day was spent at Merrivale Model Village. It is based on a quintessential English village and countryside, just on a miniature scale.
It has its own town centre, as well as a farm, sports stadium, zoo and a holiday park.
Our favourite model replica was Buckingham Palace and the Crown Jewels.
We were treated to live entertainment every evening and it was always something we looked forward to after dinner. It didn't take us long to start tapping our feet and waving our hands in the air to the spectacular dance routine and incredible voices of the performers. We too, sang our hearts out to all the well known songs.
The onsite swimming pool was the perfect way to end our active days. We loved splashing around and playing some fun games.
This active group couldn't wait to hit the Pitch and Putt course. We loved a little bit of friendly competition amongst us.
More sport was on the agenda and with girls vs boys on the Shuffle Board it was a nail biting game! Narrowly losing to the boys, the girls made an impressive comeback on round two being crowned champions!
